Last block, we covered respiratory infections and diseases in pathology and bacteria in microbiology. And during that, one of my friends in school got pneumonia. Ironic, no?

Then this block, a few days after our lecture on rabies, another friend finds a bat in her apartment. O.O Coincidence?

And of course, no viral block is complete without a lecture on influenza, in particular H1N1. 2 of my classmates got the swine flu. One of them even got the vaccine but caught the flu before her body could mount an immune response (it takes 2 weeks, by the way).

My next block is on parasites. I'm afraid.

Alright, enough procrastinating. Back to studying viruses...

Pomerleau says that researchers are close to gaining the ability to create brain-sensing technology based on functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). Machines using this feature supposedly have the ability to determine the words and pictures imagined by someone based on the changes in the cerebral blood flow. Theoretically, the brains of two distinct individuals show similar activity when imagining the same scene in their minds. With these similarities as the basis for the chips' understanding of brain activity, they would be able to understand what the person is thinking and would send the according commands to a computer.

Needless to say I think this is a Really Bad Idea unless it's limited to prosthetics. I don't think anyone would seriously expect it to stop there once developed, however.

I was wondering if there is an override to make all images outside of LJ-cuts the same dimensions. Through all my layout switches I've had to individually resize my images so they look nice on my front page and it's a pain.
Is there a code I can add to set a width for all images? Thanks!

Nobody told me I had been drawing Gil's earring on the wrong side! I thought he had one on both ears for some reason, but he only has one on the left. *sobs* Now it bothers me so much I want to go back and change all of my previous drawings because they're inaccurate, aaaaah. *runs in circles* When you notice a mistake in the future please tell meeee~ ;A;

Edit: Photoshop problem fixed. I just deleted every keyboard shortcut there was until only copy and paste were left since those are the only ones I really use.;;;

Hey guys. I'm still chugging away at Tsutsui-san's short story and I've encountered a sentence structure I'm not familiar with.

月面に持って降りなければならないものも、たくさんある。その中には、月面着地を宣伝に利用してやろうとするメーカーの商品も、たくさんある。

(If it helps, the previous sentence was:
いよいよ、月面に降りる時が近づいた。おれは宇宙服や酸素箱をあらためた。)

I'm not really sure where たくさん fits into it all. I'm aware of the meaning, but the structure is escaping me. If anyone out there has some idea, I'm all ears. Thanks a lot!
